Overview
A prestigious global law firm is seeking a Banking Solicitor to join their highly respected national Banking & Finance Practice Group in Birmingham. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Associate (4PQE+) to work on a diverse range of high-profile banking transactions, including corporate finance, leveraged finance, and real estate finance, with exposure to both domestic and international clients.
Responsibilities
- Support a broad spectrum of banking transactions across corporate finance and leveraged finance, working closely with private equity sponsors, corporates, banks, and funds.
- Advise clients on complex domestic and international matters including M&A, refinancing, asset-based lending, group reorganisations, and debt capital markets.
- Collaborate with other practice groups and engage actively in business development then client relationships.
- Provide input on training initiatives, marketing strategies, knowledge management projects, and other non-transactional activities that enhance the team\\\’s capabilities.
- Manage client expectations effectively through clear communication and responsive service delivery across all aspects of banking transactions.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of best practices within the team by participating in internal discussions and sharing insights gained from market trends.
What you bring
- A qualified solicitor with at least 4 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in banking law gained in Private Practice or In House environment.
- Proven track record in handling complex corporate debt or leveraged finance transactions for high-profile clients such as banks, private equity sponsors or corporates.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a non-hierarchical team structure while also managing tasks independently when required.
- Strong organisational abilities enabling effective prioritisation of multiple concurrent matters under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting documents as well as presenting advice clearly to stakeholders.
