My client is a start up who are a new type of security platform - one built from scratch to use modern AI to make decisions, instead of pre-defined logic. This role is outside of IR35 and is fully remote (you must be a UK citizen though).
About the AWS Vulnerability Security Specialist role:
My client is seeking a passionate and innovative Security specialist with AWS Vulnerability Management experience. They are looking for someone to lead the way in securing their cloud services. They continuously raise the bar for security by blending analytics, cybersecurity skills, and technical expertise to protect their customers and the cloud.
As a Security Specialist, you will interpret and triage vulnerability disclosures, collaborate with AWS experts on technical solutions, and initiate remediation activities across AWS’s vast scale. Your role will involve reviewing and assessing vulnerabilities, diving deep into potential risks, and leveraging your vulnerability management expertise.
Key job responsibilities:
- Establishing a risk-based approach to vulnerabilities
- Standardizing workflows to streamline remediation efforts
- Providing guidance on compensating controls
- Collaborating with service teams to address security concerns and remove blockers
- Researching the potential impact of software vulnerabilities on AWS and our customers
- Collaborating with AWS service teams and partners to remediate or mitigate risks
- Authoring risk assessment statements, remediation guidance, audit responses, and status reports
- Partnering with product teams across AWS to develop scalable solutions to security problems
- Developing tooling to automate and refine vulnerability management processes
- Identifying and owning projects that continuously improve proactive security across AWS
- Periodic on-call responsibilities
