An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Human Capital Manager to join a globally respected management consulting firm based in London. As part of the Human Capital Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping employee relations, driving policy improvements, and providing expert guidance to both managers and staff. What you'll do:

  • Consulting with management and key stakeholders to provide daily human capital guidance tailored to business needs across the UK and Ireland.
  • Offering expert counsel on complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent resolution of issues while maintaining compliance with company policies.
  • Managing end-to-end employee relations casework by delivering pragmatic advice and effective solutions that foster positive workplace relationships.
  • Delivering training sessions and coaching managers on employee relations topics to enhance their confidence and capability in handling sensitive matters.
  • Providing comprehensive guidance on human capital policies, ensuring all procedures are up-to-date and aligned with best practices.
  • Acting as the escalation point for Human Capital Coordinators and Generalists on intricate operational issues that require advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives in employee relations policies and processes so they remain relevant, effective, and supportive of organisational goals.
  • Coaching and upskilling managers to handle employee relations matters confidently while promoting a supportive work environment.
  • Managing flexible working requests from initial application through appeal proceedings, ensuring transparency and fairness throughout the process.
  • Supporting internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to queries, and implementing recommendations as needed.

What you bring:

  • Previous experience in Human Resources within either a HR Manager or Business Partner capacity with a Professional Services background would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling complex employee relations matters within large organisations is required.
  • Experience working within professional services environments is preferred; however, backgrounds from other sizeable companies will also be considered favourably.
  • A proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while remaining productive and adaptable in performance-driven settings is vital.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher level of education would be beneficial for this position.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Workday HR systems would be advantageous but not essential.
