An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Financial Controller to join a highly respected organisation in Coventry, supporting the financial operations of a leading technical centre within the manufacturing sector. This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced finance professionals and leaders, providing essential support in month-end closure, forecasting, and budget management. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis, collaborating with both local and international teams in a collaborative team setting.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Controller
- Prepare monthly management accounts as part of the UK Finance team, ensuring all data is accurate and submitted within required deadlines.
- Manage budgets by reporting monthly results, preparing forecasts and budgets, and working closely with the Engineering Director to review financial data.
- Oversee budgets by controlling expenditures, tracking monthly activity, conducting reviews with Program Managers, and reporting profitability status to management.
- Produce comprehensive programme status reports that incorporate historical and forecast data to provide clear insights into project profitability.
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Prepare quarterly attest schedules for submission to divisional finance as part of corporate compliance requirements.
