The Role
As an Air Conditioning Service & Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of air conditioning systems across commercial and residential properties. You will work independently and as part of a wider service team, delivering high standards of technical work while providing a professional and customer focused service.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems in line with industry standards and regulations
- Diagnose, test, and rectify faults on a range of AC systems
- Complete routine PPM to ensure optimal system performance
- Carry out decommissioning and strip‑outs of ageing systems
- Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans
- Conduct system performance testing and recommend improvements
- Follow all safety protocols, especially around hazardous materials
- Log all work accurately through the company service management software
- Mentor apprentices and contribute to a collaborative team culture
- Ensure excellent communication and customer service on client sites
What We’re Looking For
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a field service/installation engineer
- Strong technical and electrical fault‑finding skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Strong communication and customer facing skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach
- IPAF or PASMA – advantageous, but training can be provided
- Experience with ductwork installation – beneficial but not essential
