The Role

As an Air Conditioning Service & Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of air conditioning systems across commercial and residential properties. You will work independently and as part of a wider service team, delivering high standards of technical work while providing a professional and customer focused service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems in line with industry standards and regulations
  • Diagnose, test, and rectify faults on a range of AC systems
  • Complete routine PPM to ensure optimal system performance
  • Carry out decommissioning and strip‑outs of ageing systems
  • Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans
  • Conduct system performance testing and recommend improvements
  • Follow all safety protocols, especially around hazardous materials
  • Log all work accurately through the company service management software
  • Mentor apprentices and contribute to a collaborative team culture
  • Ensure excellent communication and customer service on client sites

What We’re Looking For

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a field service/installation engineer
  • Strong technical and electrical fault‑finding skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Strong communication and customer facing skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • IPAF or PASMA – advantageous, but training can be provided
  • Experience with ductwork installation – beneficial but not essential
