ACCOUNTANT | Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 | Location: London
Our client is seeking a qualified or part-qualified Accountant to join their team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Head of Tax and Corporate Reporting, and other members of the department to assist in the development and implementation of policy on issues concerning financial and wider corporate reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead on financial and wider corporate reporting issues of particular interest to UK insurers.
- Formulate and communicate persuasive policy initiatives supported by robust evidence.
- Engage with stakeholders both internally within the organisation and externally.
- Support on insurers’ tax issues as relating to financial reporting requirements.
- Promote the aims and objectives of the organisation.
- Contribute to the activities of the wider Regulation Directorate, staff and Member Groups.
The Ideal Candidate
- Part-qualified accountant (ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA or similar).
- Knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Excellent analytical skills and an evidence-based approach to policy making.
- Ability to write articulately on relevant financial reporting, wider corporate reporting and other regulatory issues.
- Strong analytical, numerical and technical capabilities.
- Enthusiasm for building effective relationships with members and external stakeholders.
