Management Accountant - Based in Milton Keynes - £50,000 - £55,000 Robert Walters is working with a growing and successful consulting business in Milton Keynes to recruit a Management Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of the management accounts for multiple entities and play a key role in supporting the wider commercial business.

You will work closely with operational and senior leadership teams, providing meaningful financial insight, analysis and support while helping to drive improvements across the finance function.

There is significant scope to develop and shape the role as part of a young, ambitious and fast-growing team.

With the business continuing to expand, including through acquisitions, there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in new projects, take on additional responsibility and grow your career alongside the organisation.

The role

  • Full ownership of management accounts across multiple entities, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
  • Provide insightful analysis of gross margin and overhead variances against budget and forecast.
  • Partner with operational and commercial teams, acting as a key finance contact to support decision-making.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, including invoice discounting and project balances.
  • Support and improve financial systems, processes and controls.
  • Contribute to forecasting and budgeting activities.
  • Provide financial analysis and support on divisional and wider group projects.
  • Prepare working papers for annual statutory accounts and support external audits.
  • Prepare, reconcile and submit VAT returns to HMRC.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the finance function.

About you We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong management accounting experience and the confidence to work closely with stakeholders outside of finance, this role will also suit a finalist level.

  • Experience managing management accounts across multiple entities.
  • Strong technical accounting and analytical skills.
