A growing and well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead its on-site warehouse and internal logistics operation. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for driving operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and high standards across a fast-paced production environment. Reporting into the Supply Chain leadership team, you will take full responsibility for warehouse operations, ensuring materials and finished goods flow effectively to support production and customer demand.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading day-to-day warehouse and internal logistics operations, including goods-in, storage, and dispatch
- Maintaining accountability for inventory accuracy across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Driving stock control processes including cycle counts, reconciliations, and root cause analysis
- Optimising warehouse layout, material flow, and storage strategies to maximise efficiency
- Collaborating with Production, Planning, and Procurement teams to ensure material availability
- Monitoring key KPIs including inventory accuracy, labour productivity, and service levels
- Leading, developing, and motivating a warehouse team to deliver operational excellence
- Implementing and improving SOPs, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / 5S)
- Ensuring high standards of health & safety, quality, and compliance
