Finance Business Partner

Salary: Β£65,000

Location: Wolverhampton

Robert Walters are currently supporting a fast-growing business based in Wolverhampton in their recruitment of a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. The role will be five days on site and will be paying up to Β£65,000 DOE

The Finance Business Partner will do:

  • Enable successful achievement of key goals and targets within the supply chain strategy by providing comprehensive financial support and insight.
  • Deliver clear analysis on current performance, emerging trends, and their impact on profit & loss, KPIs, and cash flow within the supply chain network.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in supply chain areas while proposing potential solutions to optimise business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, systems, and reporting packs for supply chain operations.
  • Take ownership of rolling forecasts for designated areas within the supply chain, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Complete month-end processes and management reporting for supply chain activities, ensuring timely delivery of information to relevant teams.
  • Drive collaboration by developing strong relationships within finance and stakeholder groups to foster open communication and shared goals.
  • Investigate variances in financial performance, support corrective actions where necessary, and challenge areas of underperformance constructively.
  • Prepare and present results, forecasts, and insights to senior leadership teams using suitable presentation materials tailored for maximum impact.
  • Participate actively in advancing the vision of a world-class finance team by focusing relentlessly on continuous improvement, cost efficiency, value for money, and LEAN measures.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with at least five years post-qualification experience in financial analysis and management reporting within a corporate environment.
  • Proven track record of proposing, justifying, initiating, and implementing change through effective process improvements and robust controls.
  • Experience working to tight deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an inclusive approach that supports relationship building across diverse functions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and reporting skills suitable for communicating at all levels within the organisation.
  • Negotiation and influencing abilities combined with conflict resolution skills that promote constructive dialogue.
  • Ability to prioritise complex projects independently while remaining self-motivated under strict deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications-especially Excel-and experience with Power BI reporting tools.
  • Financial systems knowledge coupled with commercial acumen relevant to business-facing roles.
  • Forward-thinking mindset with exceptional analytical skills; project management qualifications or experience would be advantageous.
