We are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Systems Specialist to lead a critical finance transformation programme and deliver the successful implementation of a new enterprise finance system.
This is a high-profile assignment requiring a senior contractor with a proven track record of leading complex finance system implementations and ERP transformations
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation and delivery of the organisation's new finance system.
- Provide programme leadership across Finance, IT, operational stakeholders and third-party vendors.
- Review, redesign and optimise finance processes to support future-state operating models.
- Lead the redesign and implementation of organisation structures, financial hierarchies and Chart of Accounts.
- Define and deliver the data migration strategy, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Oversee system configuration, integrations, testing, UAT, cutover planning and go-live readiness.
- Establish programme governance, risk management and milestone tracking to ensure successful delivery.
- Act as the senior point of contact between the organisation and implementation partners.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and change management across all levels of the business.
- Develop and deliver training, adoption and transition plans to ensure successful embedding of the new solution.
- Provide strategic finance systems expertise and challenge to ensure best-practice implementation decisions.
Required Experience
We are looking for a contractor who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience leading ERP and finance systems implementations from selection through to go-live.
- Proven delivery of large-scale finance transformation programmes within complex organisations.
- Strong background in finance operations, financial controls, reporting and management accounting.
- Experience redesigning Chart of Accounts, reporting structures and finance processes.
- Expertise in data migration, system integration and testing methodologies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage executive leadership teams and operational users alike.
- Strong programme and project management capabilities, including governance, risk and issue management.
- Experience driving organisational change and user adoption across finance functions.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
