Group Reporting Accountant
Location: Stafford (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Benefits
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically strong and commercially minded Group Reporting Accountant to join a growing and dynamic organisation. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely group financial reporting, supporting statutory compliance, and driving improvements across the finance function.
This role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders across the business and would suit an ambitious qualified accountant looking to develop their career within a complex, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities of Group Reporting Accountant
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated group financial reporting.
- Produce consolidated management accounts and board reporting packs.
- Assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts under IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Support the year-end audit process and act as a key contact for external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, group policies and internal controls.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and consolidation adjustments.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning activities.
- Provide technical accounting guidance to finance teams across the group.
- Support acquisitions, group restructures and integration projects where required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting processes and controls.
- Assist with implementation and enhancement of finance systems and reporting tools.
The Successful Candidate will have the Following:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Strong group reporting and consolidation experience.
- Good knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
- Previous experience within a multi-entity or group structure environment.
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight reporting deadlines.
