An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to join a London-based international energy group operating across both traditional and renewable energy markets.

This is a broad and highly visible role within a lean corporate finance team, offering exposure to group reporting, technical accounting, international operations and senior stakeholder engagement.

This position offers a varied mix of financial reporting, statutory compliance, technical accounting and financial control responsibilities.

Key duties will include

  • Preparation of interim and annual consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
  • Supporting the delivery of a listed group audit and acting as a key contact for external auditors.
  • Managing statutory reporting and compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Maintaining divisional consolidations and supporting group reporting requirements.
  • Overseeing monthly financial close activities, including review of ledgers, reconciliations and accounting entries.
  • Producing consolidated monthly management accounts and performance reporting.
  • Reviewing payroll, VAT, pension and payment processes managed both internally and through external providers.
  • Supporting technical accounting projects and preparing accounting papers on complex transactions.
  • Contributing to ongoing improvements in group reporting, controls and finance processes.

We are seeking an ambitious and technically strong finance professional who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and taking ownership of critical reporting processes.

You will ideally possess

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Strong IFRS and group consolidation experience.
  • Experience within natural resources
  • Exposure to external audit processes and statutory reporting requirements.
  • An ability to manage multiple priorities across international operations.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
