Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Finance Controller by assisting with financial reporting and day-to-day finance activities across multiple entities.
- Analyse and reconcile accounting documents for subsidiaries operating throughout Africa, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times.
- Review General Ledger transactions spanning several countries to maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively with non-financial operational teams to foster understanding and cooperation.
- Liaise regularly with accountants based in African subsidiaries to ensure consistency in accounting practices and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of finance processes and controls by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices.
- Contribute to maintaining compliance with internal policies as well as external regulations governing financial operations.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that require collaboration between finance and other departments within the organisation.
- Prepare detailed reports for management review, highlighting key findings and recommendations for process improvements.
