A well established organisation in North West London is looking for a Finance Manager to take ownership of day to day financial operations and support senior management with planning and analysis. Responsibilities for the role:

  • Oversee the full financial function, from management accounts and budgeting through to payroll, VAT, and year end reporting.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Oversee purchase and sales ledger functions.
  • Run payroll and statutory payments.
  • Prepare VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements.
  • Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts.
  • Produce year end accounts and liaise with external accountants and auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards.
  • Improve financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.
  • Support senior management with financial planning and business analysis.
  • Manage credit control and monitor cash flow.
  • Lead and support the wider finance team.

Requirements for the role:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
  • Previous exposure working in a wholesale environment, dealing with contribution margin analysis.
  • Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, or Senior Accountant.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Proven experience with management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and clear communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A sharp eye for detail when handling financial information.
