Location: Birmingham
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 3 days in office and 2 days WFH
Key Responsibilities of an Interim Legal Counsel:
- Provide pragmatic and timely legal advice on a broad range of commercial and contractual matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including supplier agreements, customer contracts, and partnership arrangements.
- Support the business on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Advise on risk management and support business decision-making to mitigate potential legal exposure.
- Assist with dispute resolution and liaise with external legal counsel where necessary.
- Keep up to date with legal and regulatory developments and advise stakeholders accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support strategic initiatives and projects.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Solicitor in England and Wales (or equivalent) with solid post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Strong background in commercial contracts gained in private practice or in-house environment.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and provide clear, practical advice.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
