Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping across two entities, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded using Xero and maintained in line with best practices.
- Process purchase invoices with careful attention to correct coding, CIS treatment, VAT application, and Domestic Reverse Charge requirements, supporting compliance across all business activities.
- Prepare monthly CIS returns for HMRC, including verifying subcontractors, calculating deductions, and issuing payment statements to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Maintain comprehensive subcontractor records and CIS documentation for construction and development projects, supporting ongoing compliance efforts.
- Assist with quarterly VAT return preparation by applying appropriate VAT treatments to transactions related to construction, development, and investment activities.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations as well as supplier statement reconciliations, project costing allocation reviews, and general ledger reviews to support month-end reporting and cost control.
- Liaise professionally with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve invoice queries, payment issues, and account discrepancies promptly. xgikmsk
