Location: Onsite in London based studio
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £28,000

Robert Timmons Furniture Ltd is a London-based furniture design company, known for crafting high-quality, innovative fitted furniture that seamlessly blends form and function. Specialized in the design and manufacture of high-end bespoke kitchens and fitted furniture, we are looking for a SolidWorks CAD Designer to join our growing team and play a key role in bringing our innovative designs to life. If you have a keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and a passion for furniture design, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
• Create detailed SolidWorks CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings for design, manufacture, and installation.
• Work closely with the design and manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
• Assist in various project tasks, including but not limited to
• Preparing presentation documents.
• Placing hardware orders.
• Conducting quality assurance checks.
• Attending client meetings
• Liaising with the supply chain.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the design process.
• Maintain and organize design documentation and files.
• Ensure all designs are production-ready, functional, and cost-effective.
• Contribute to the development of custom solutions and innovative furniture designs
• other studio / office tasks as required for the smooth operation of the company
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience using SolidWorks for 3D modelling and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of furniture design and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to design challenges.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A degree level qualification in Product Design, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with other CAD software such as AutoCAD.
• Understanding of material properties and sustainable design practices.
• Knowledge of CNC machining and production techniques. (Desirable but not required)
