In preparation for the implementation of a new school-wide Management Information System involving key members of the school office and data teams, we have a flexible (part time or full time) fixed-term vacancy to provide some additional administrative support capacity within our dedicated teams. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join a supportive team who work collaboratively to contribute to the continued success of the school.
We are seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant to provide support with all aspects of school administration. The role will be fixed-term initially to start as soon as possible (and ideally start 23rd February to the end of the summer term, 22nd July 2026).
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support for a variety of areas including departments, pastoral leaders and senior management;
- The administration of school trips and events;
- Support for our front of house areas;
- Support for the Data Manager with some administrative aspects of student attendance and with the maintenance and housekeeping of current school systems (which include SIMS, Class Charts and Edulink);
- Liaising with school staff and external parties as appropriate.
We are looking for a proactive and flexible individual with a ‘can do’ attitude who can assist in the smooth running of our established processes. The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work to deadlines;
- Experience using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel;
- Highly organised, accurate and detail conscious work ethic;
- Ability to use discretion and respect confidentiality;
- Experience of working with SIMS (or other education MIS) would be beneficial but training can be provided;
- A knowledge and understanding of the education sector and/or experience of working within a school environment would be desirable.
This vacancy is full time, 8:00am-4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am-3:30pm on Friday and will be term time only with flexibility for the right candidate. We are a welcoming, caring and supportive working environment and high priority is given to the wellbeing of our staff and students.
