We are seeking a caring, patient and committed person to join us at Robert Le Kyng Primary School. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator to support children both within our complex needs unit and our mainstream school.

Support is required both in the classroom and at break/lunch times which would mean having a teaching assistant and midday supervisory assistant contract. You will have a passion and enthusiasm for working with children, be creative, dedicated and have a positive attitude to joining a forward-thinking school.

You must be able to demonstrate that you can build excellent relationships, good communication skills and the ability to use positive behaviour management strategies. The role will include contributing to the delivery and monitoring of interventions for individuals and small groups, supporting assessments and evidencing learning.

You will be working with the teacher to build positive relationships with the children by being approachable, caring and a supportive role model. You will be able to demonstrate empathy and understanding of a child’s individual learning abilities.
