About the Role
We at Kime Decoration are looking for a talented and creative Decorator (Interior Designer) to join our team in Marlborough. The successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a passion for design, and the ability to interpret and execute ideas. The successful applicant will work closely with our Managing Director, Head of Decoration and a small, experienced team, delivering excellent client experiences. You must have a calm manner, a meticulous eye for detail and be commercially astute.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project delivery from concept through to completion.
- Understand creative direction and execute it within an allocated time and budget.
- Produce and present consistently excellent, accurate client-facing material with strong attention to detail.
- Update internal project management programmes and manage estimates and purchase orders.
- Liaise with project outworkers and the wider RKL Group.
- Work with the Senior Project Works Manager on budget management, while remaining commercially aware and responsible for spend against budget, purchasing and time management.
- Be responsible for creating schedules, ordering samples, liaising with suppliers, organising logistics, drawing floor plans and building spaces.
- Be a strong communicator, both internally and externally to the Group, while always acting as an advocate for the brand.
- Be client-facing and responsible for maintaining 100% client satisfaction.
- Work alongside all other parts of the company, especially Sales and Marketing, and Business & Financial Services.
- Ensure all projects consistently meet high standards of quality, functionality and aesthetics.
- Develop schemes and presentations in response to the direction set by the Managing Director or Head of Decoration.
- Produce mood boards, floor plans, layouts and detailed design schemes.
- Be confident when selecting furniture, finishes, materials, lighting and accessories.
- Prepare drawings and specifications using relevant design software.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Attend site and oversee the implementation of designs from concept to completion.

About You
We are looking for a confident and goal-focused individual to join our decoration team in Marlborough. You will have an exceptional eye for detail and be ready to execute the RKL vision, while being organised, commercially astute, calm and highly detail-orientated. You will have proven experience within the industry, including presentation, client satisfaction and commercial awareness.
- You must have excellent timekeeping and a smart turnout.
- You must hold a full UK driving licence.
- You must be available to work in the UK and abroad if required.
- You must have a strong understanding of colour, pattern and texture.
- You must understand and be confident with numbers, budgets and deadlines.
- You will need to be self-motivated, with rigorous attention to detail.
- You will have excellent creative communication skills, both verbal and written.
- You will have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently or as part of a small team.
- It is highly desirable that you are confident using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit or Adobe Creative Suite, and are able to read plans.
- It is desirable that you are a confident driver and can drive various-sized vans.
