About the Role We are currently looking for an Approved Electrician to join our client's team, carrying out electrical maintenance, reactive works and minor installation projects across a variety of sites. The successful candidate will be confident working independently and dealing with different environments, with the ability to complete maintenance and minor installation works to a high standard. There may also be opportunities to undertake Testing & Inspection duties where the candidate has the relevant qualifications and experience. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance. * Complete minor electrical installation and modification works. * Diagnose and rectify electrical faults. * Carry out repairs, replacements and remedial works. * Install and replace electrical accessories, equipment and components. * Undertake basic testing and inspection where suitably qualified. * Complete electrical testing and certification where required. * Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current BS 7671 requirements. * Work safely and comply with site health & safety procedures. * Complete job sheets, reports and relevant documentation. * Liaise professionally with clients, site staff and other contractors. * Travel between various sites as required. Essential Requirements * Relevant electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical Installation or equivalent. * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). * Previous experience in electrical maintenance and minor installation works. * Able to work independently and use initiative. * Full understanding of electrical health & safety requirements. * Recent Enhanced DBS check – essential. * Good communication and customer-facing skills. * Full UK driving licence would be advantageous due to the requirement to work across various locations. Desirable Qualifications * 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Inspection & Testing. * Experience carrying out periodic inspection and testing. * Emergency lighting experience / BS 5266. * PAT testing experience. * Experience working within schools, public buildings, commercial premises or other occupied environments. * IPAF, PASMA or other relevant site qualifications
