About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Advisor to join their team and begin an exciting career within the construction industry. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual starting out in HSW to gain valuable, hands-on experience supporting live projects, while receiving mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals within a forward-thinking, people-first organisation.
Working closely with the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Director and wider team, the successful candidate will assist with day-to-day safety activities, attend live project sites, and support audits, training, and compliance tasks. The role offers excellent scope for development through practical, on-the-job experience and supported Continual Professional Development (CPD).
Key Responsibilities
- Support in the development and maintenance of our client’s Safety, Health & Wellbeing policies and procedures.
- Assist in providing basic HSW advice to staff and subcontractors as directed.
- Learn to conduct safety audits and site inspections and assist in preparing resulting reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Shadow experienced HSW advisors in liaising with Principal Contractors and project teams.
- Help monitor safety practices on-site, note areas for improvement, and learn corrective measures.
