Role Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Approved Electrician to work on a commercial construction site. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation and associated works to a high standard, while working safely and in accordance with site procedures, drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities * Installation of metal containment systems, including conduit and associated containment. * Installation of cable tray and cable ladder systems. * Installation, glanding and termination of SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) cabling. * Installation and replacement of light fittings and lighting fixtures. * Carrying out electrical installation works in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements. * Testing and inspection of electrical installations where required. * Working alongside other trades and coordinating works with site management. * Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area. * Following all relevant Health & Safety, RAMS and site procedures. * Reporting any issues, defects or variations to the Site Supervisor / Electrical Supervisor. Essential Requirements * Approved Electrician with relevant electrical qualifications. * Valid Gold ECS Card. * Valid IPAF certification. * Valid SSSTS certification. * Current MOD Security Clearance suitable for the site. * Proven commercial / industrial electrical installation experience. * Experience with: * Metal containment * Cable tray / ladder * SWA cabling * Lighting installation and replacement * Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and specifications. * Good understanding of site Health & Safety requirements. * Reliable, professional and able to work effectively as part of a site team. Desirable * Previous experience working on MOD / secure sites. * Experience working on large commercial or industrial projects. * Additional relevant electrical inspection, testing or specialist qualifications. * Full UK driving licence
