About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Non-Working Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical works within a private residential apartment block. This role is primarily supervisory, with a focus on coordinating and managing subcontractors across key mechanical disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors on site
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of:
  • Pipefitting systems
  • Ductwork installations
  • Smoke ventilation systems
  • Ensure all works are carried out to specification, on time, and within budget
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance
  • Liaise with project managers, site teams, and residents where required
  • Monitor progress and report on project milestones
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to regulations and standards
  • Requirements:

    • Proven experience in a Mechanical Supervisor role (non-working preferred)
    • Strong background in pipefitting, ductwork, and smoke ventilation systems
    • Experience managing and organising subcontractors
    • Good understanding of health & safety regulations
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

    Desirable:

    • Relevant mechanical or building services qualifications
    • SMSTS or SSSTS certification
    • Experience working in residential/apartment block environments
