About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join their team in Reading. You’ll play a key role in fabricating, cutting, bending, and assembling sheet metal components to support their bespoke engineering and acoustic control solutions. Further training and development is offered aiming to have a better understanding of the business and potentially progressing towards becoming a Supervisor or Factory Manager. Key Responsibilities * Accurately interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications. * Measure, mark out, cut, bend, form, and assemble sheet metal components using presses, brakes, shears, rollers, guillotines, and hand tools. * Work to precise tolerances and uphold high standards of craftsmanship and finish. * Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with ISO9001 or equivalent quality standards. * Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workshop environment, following health and safety protocols. * Suggest process improvements and collaborate with team members to enhance productivity. Essential Skills & Qualifications * Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication, including experience with a range of machinery (press brake, rollers, guillotines, shears). * Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications. * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality workmanship. * Good time-management skills and reliability
