The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for 2 experienced Project Managers to join a major programme of works in North Wales.

This is an excellent opportunity for Project Managers with a strong background in the AMP (Asset Management Period) Framework environment, looking to take responsibility for delivering a range of projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion.

Previous AMP Framework experience is essential for this position.

The successful candidates will be comfortable working in a client-facing environment, managing multiple stakeholders and taking ownership of projects, programmes, budgets, resources and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from initial planning through to successful completion and handover.
  • Take overall responsibility for project delivery, ensuring programmes, budgets, quality and safety requirements are achieved.
  • Develop and manage project programmes, monitoring progress and addressing any delays or issues.
  • Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, costs, forecasts and commercial performance.
  • Lead regular project meetings and provide clear progress reporting.
  • Identify and manage project risks, opportunities and potential changes.
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with contractual, technical, quality and health & safety requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and ensure works are delivered to the required standards.
  • Support the resolution of technical, commercial and operational issues.
  • Ensure appropriate project documentation, records and reporting are maintained.
  • Drive projects through to completion, commissioning, handover and close-out.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Previous experience working within an AMP Framework environment essential.
  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager on infrastructure, utilities, water or related projects.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, programme management and commercial control.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, consultants and multiple project stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver projects to agreed deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and project delivery.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to commute to sites across North Wales at least 3 days per week.

Desirable

  • Experience within the water/utilities sector.
  • Relevant project management qualification such as APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
  • Relevant technical or construction qualification.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with major water companies or Tier 1 contractors.
  • The Person

We are looking for commercially aware and delivery-focused Project Managers who can take ownership of their projects and work effectively with clients, contractors and internal teams.

You should be confident dealing with stakeholders at all levels and be comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment where priorities can change.

Most importantly, you will need genuine previous AMP Framework experience and be able to demonstrate your involvement in successfully delivering projects within this environment
