About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Sprinkler Design Engineer to join our team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a predominantly home-based role, offering flexibility and autonomy, with an initial requirement to attend site at the start of the project. Following this, the role will transition to mainly remote working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design fire sprinkler systems in line with relevant standards and regulations
- Produce detailed drawings and layouts using industry software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
- Carry out hydraulic calculations and system sizing
- Review project specifications and ensure compliance
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, and clients
- Attend site at project commencement to assess requirements and coordinate works
- Provide ongoing technical support throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sprinkler Design Engineer
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and relevant standards (e.g., BS EN, LPC rules)
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD (Revit beneficial)
- Experience carrying out hydraulic calculations
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
- LPCB or equivalent fire protection certification
- Experience working on residential or commercial projects
