RHL is looking for a Project Manager (CDM).

Location: Central London office

Duration: Initial 6-week contract

Working Pattern: 2-3 days per week

Salary/Rate: Competitive (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (CDM) with a strong background in rail infrastructure projects, ideally with proven experience working with Network Rail. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity starting as a 6-week contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage rail infrastructure or construction projects from inception through to completion
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations (2015)
  • Coordinate and manage Principal Designer and Principal Contractor responsibilities
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate health & safety risks
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Engage with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure all works comply with rail industry standards and Network Rail processes
  • Support safe project delivery in live rail environments

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the rail sector
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations (2015)
  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects for Network Rail
  • Familiarity with PACE/GRIP or similar rail project frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a safety-critical environment

Desirable

  • PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent project management qualification
  • NEBOSH or similar health & safety certification
  • Experience across multidisciplinary rail projects (civils, M&E, signalling)
