We are seeking a skilled and qualified HVAC Estimator to join our client’s team in Dartford. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning projects. This role analyses project plans, specifications, and technical requirements to determine labour, material, and equipment needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed HVAC estimates.
  • Calculate material quantities, labour hours, equipment costs, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals within deadlines.
  • Identify value-engineering opportunities to improve cost effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with project management and engineering teams during pre-construction.
  • Maintain cost databases, pricing sheets, and historical project records.
  • Assist in project handoff meetings and provide clarifications as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience in HVAC estimating or related mechanical estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • NVQ or equivalent.
  • Valid CSCS.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
