The role of the Site Services & FM Engineer is to support all TechPoint properties, providing Hard FM support & EHS physical compliance. The Site Services & FM Engineer is responsible for following scheduled maintenance, reacting to unplanned failures & supporting all aspects of contractor engagement & compliance. Further duties are outlined below, but are not exhaustive & will be directed by the Group Head of EHS & Infrastructure.

Site Services & FM Engineer’s role is an individual contribution role and will not have a team reporting into it – but will liaise & supervise any contractors/third party providers as directed by the Group Head of EHS & Infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  1. Working alongside all sites to support compliance aspects such as (but not limited to):
  2. Legionella L8 – flushing, dosing & sampling
  3. F-Gas – liaison with contractors & supporting repairs/maintenance
  4. LEV – liaison with contractors & supporting repairs/maintenance
  5. Waste streams & Disposal – prepare & support collections & site issues
  6. Environmental & Safety hazards/incidents requiring physical repairs or improvements
  7. Electrical appliance testing PAT & retention of asset records
  8. Control of contractors – PTW issue/engagement
  9. Develop & implement the maintenance schedule of works, utilising a CMMS system (supported by Group Head of EHS & Infrastructure)
  10. Collaborate with all TECHPOINT sites & ensure priority tasks are conducted in a timely manner & with appropriate urgency/escalation as required.
  11. Build productive relationships with (site) local contractors & providers of FM services
  12. Raise purchase orders via procurement as required, ensuring cost effective measures & adherence to budget.
  13. Physical ‘hands on’ repairs & maintenance on all site services & equipment.
  14. Support plant relocations & equipment installations (FM & SMT)

Qualifications & Competencies:

  1. Time served apprenticeship in FM/Maintenance – with electrical bias to 18th Edition
  2. 5+ years’ experience (post apprenticeship) working in a similar role
  3. IOSHH (will be undertaken if not attained already).
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for building relationships with sites/contractors & controlling safety/spend.
