Electrical Engineer

Contract Type: 2-3 year contract or permanent

Job Responsibilities:

1. Carry out installation and commissioning of electrical equipment in utility substations at various sites across the country.

A successful candidate may have these skills or the ability to rapidly acquire them, but they must possess some basic electrical engineering knowledge. They are expected to work rapidly towards Person and Competent Person competency level.

Requirements:

1. Must have basic electrical knowledge and skills.
2. Must be willing to travel within the mainland.
3. Some electrical experience in utility substations would be an advantage.
4. Have basic computer skills (emails, Excel, Word).

Full training package is available.

An attractive package is available for the qualifying candidate. Candidate does not have to be a National Grid (NG) Person or Competent Person (CP) at this stage, but will need to become a CP quickly.

We are keen to fill this role as soon as possible and will consider offering a full-time role or a 3-year contract (whichever is most appealing to the candidates) after a three-month probation period.

Salary: Dependent on experience and ability, up to £60k + expenses.
