Electrical Engineer

Position Type: 2-3 year contract or permanent

Responsibilities:

1. Installation and commissioning of electrical equipment in utility substations at various sites across the country.

Qualifications:

1. Basic electrical engineering knowledge.
2. Willingness to work towards Person and Competent Person competency level.
3. Some electrical experience in utility substations is an advantage.
4. Basic computer skills (emails, Excel, Word).

Training: Full training package is available.

Travel: Must be willing to travel within the mainland.

Compensation: Salary (dependent on experience and ability) up to £60k + expenses. An attractive package is available for the qualifying candidate.

Employment Terms: Candidate does not need to be a National Grid (NG) Person or Competent Person (CP) at this stage but will need to become a CP quickly. We are keen to fill this role ASAP and will consider offering a full-time role or a 3-year contract (whichever is most appealing to the candidates) after a three-month probation.
