We are seeking a qualified and experienced Approved Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing electrical systems on a commercial new build to ensure safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices and equipment, and determine necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with other trades and construction professionals to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to health and safety policies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior electricians or apprentices as needed.
- Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues and repairs.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification/license as an Approved Electrician (e.g., certified by a recognized regulatory authority or professional body).
- Proven experience working as a qualified electrician, typically 3+ years.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuitry, and tools.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically fit to perform manual labor and work in various environments.
- Gold ECS card & IPAF card.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with both residential and commercial electrical installations.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues effectively.
