We are looking for experienced Wet Work Engineers to join our clients team. This role specialises in power flushing, hot water cylinder exchanges, and the replacement of radiators and central heating system components. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of system design and be capable of working independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service. This is a sub-contractor role. You will need £5M Public Liability Insurance and a van with a bulkhead. This role will be covering the whole of the South Central area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Power Flushing: Conduct power flushing services on central heating systems to remove debris, sludge, and scale buildup, ensuring optimal system performance and energy efficiency.
- Hot Water Cylinder Replacement: Exchange hot water cylinders, ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations and best practices.
- Radiator and Central Heating Component Replacement: Replace radiators, valves, and other key components in central heating systems, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
- System Design Understanding: Provide advice on heating system design, including radiator placement, pipe sizing, and system layout. Ensure systems are installed and maintained for optimal efficiency.
- Diagnostic & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, including central heating, radiators, hot water cylinders, and other related systems.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to assess needs, offer solutions, and explain procedures clearly.
- Compliance: Adhere to health and safety standards, building regulations, and industry best practices at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
- G3 unvented.
- Relevant experience in power flushing, hot water cylinder exchanges, and central heating systems.
- Strong understanding of plumbing and heating system design, including radiators, pipework, and components.
- Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment, including power flushing machines.
- Valid driver's license.
