The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 € per year.
You'll be responsible for managing and delivering either a large, complex project or a number of smaller projects at the same time, making sure both the client and the business are fully satisfied with the outcome. Your involvement could start as early as the tender or negotiation stage and carry right through to delivery on site. You'll take ownership for the scope, programme, quality, and budget, acting as the main point of accountability throughout.
The role will see you leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, from engineering and commercial to procurement, construction, and commissioning, to ensure everything comes together successfully. It's about providing clear direction, strong leadership, and sound decision-making at every stage of the project. You'll set the tone for safety, quality, cost control, and programme performance, while also representing the company in senior client and stakeholder meetings, balancing collaboration with protecting our interests. Above all, you'll drive a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency across the team to deliver projects in the best possible way.
Key Accountabilities
- Health, Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Make sure all statutory and company health and safety requirements are followed.
- Ensure works are delivered to the right quality standards and meet all specifications, technical standards, and regulations.
- Have oversight of QA/QC by making sure ITPs and quality records are in place and maintained.
- Ensure company procedures are followed, and key information is shared with the project team.
- Contract & Commercial Management
- Administer the contract in line with the company's scope and responsibilities.
- Protect the company's position during negotiations, site works, and post-contract discussions, keeping proper records throughout.
- Work with the commercial team to provide timely and accurate information for payments, variations, and final accounts.
- Monitor project cashflow, invoicing, and subcontractor accounts.
- Keep tight control on costs and margins.
- Lead on Early Warnings, Compensation Events, and change control in line with NEC.
- Planning & Controls
- Own/Manage and drive the programme of works.
- Keep programmes, schedules, and controls up to date and share them regularly.
- Track progress against milestones, flag risks or delays, and take action to keep things on track.
- Provide clear and accurate reporting to management and the client on cost, time, and resources.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Keep communication open and proactive so expectations and progress are always aligned.
- Represent the company at client meetings.
- Build solid working relationships with senior consultants and subcontractors.
- People & Leadership
- Work with the Operations Director to ensure projects are properly resourced with the right skills and experience.
- Lead by example, setting the standards of behaviour and performance on the project.
- Support, mentor, and develop junior team members and encourage continuous improvement.
- Step in to resolve conflicts quickly and maintain team performance.
- Help identify "fast track" talent.
- Share and communicate project and company strategy clearly with the team so objectives are fully understood.
- Procurement & Supply Chain
- Lead the procurement during tender, negotiation, and delivery stages.
- Make sure the supply chain is aligned to project goals and performance standards.
- Risk Management
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities as they arise.
- Put the right mitigation in place and escalate issues where needed to protect the business.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Experience running teams including Engineering/Design, site, including managing subcontractors, different trades, and making sure everything is coordinated.
- Used to managing electrical subcontractors as well as other subbie packages.
- Solid experience across HVAC, pipework, and electrics.
- Comfortable working to tight programmes and milestone-driven delivery.
- Good knowledge of the heating and ventilation industry, how things are manufactured, and how they go together on site.
- Hands-on experience working with different forms of contract (ideally NEC).
- Commercially switched on, understanding the cost and programme impact of decisions.
- Able to represent the business well with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of safe systems of work, ideally backed up with SMSTS/IOSH or similar.
- Confident feeding into planning tools (P6, MS Project) and digital systems like SharePoint, Dalux, or ProjectWise.
- Clear communicator, written, verbal, and in meetings.
- Able to build relationships at all levels.
- Positive, reliable, and gets the job done.
- Full UK driving licence.
Highly Desirable (but not essential)

- Membership of a Professional Body.
