- Duct Mate: £16.90 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 – 16:00, 8 hours days, 30 minutes lunch break
Required Cards & Qualifications:
- Duct Fitter: Blue Duct Installation CSCS Card
- Duct Mate: Green CSCS Card
Full PPE and own tools required.
Scope of Work:
We are currently seeking experienced Duct Fitters and reliable Duct Mates for an ongoing project based in Portsmouth. The role will involve the installation of galvanized ductwork as part of a commercial project. Candidates should have a strong understanding of duct installation practices, be able to work efficiently as part of a team and maintain high standards of health and safety on site. Duct Fitters must be fully competent in all aspects of galvanized ductwork installation, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and fitting to specification. Duct Mates will be expected to assist fitters, handle materials, and support general site duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of galvanized ductwork systems
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings (for fitters)
- Assisting with material handling and site preparation
- Ensuring compliance with site health and safety regulations
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card (relevant to role)
- Proven experience in ductwork installation (for fitters)
- Good work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Own PPE and tools
