Role: Plumber / Pipefitter
Location: AWE Aldermaston
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 Months (with potential for extension)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9-hour days
Rate: Β£25.00 per hour

The successful candidate will join a long-term project at AWE Aldermaston as a skilled and reliable Plumber / Pipefitter. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, secure site within a professional team environment. The work focuses on copper and Mapress installation in office spaces and a learning block, predominantly 1st and 2nd fix plumbing with an emphasis on high standards and quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation of copper pipework using Mapress press-fitting systems
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
  • Working independently and as part of a team to complete installations
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborating with other trades on site to ensure smooth workflow and integration

Requirements

  • Valid CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card (Plumber or Pipefitter designation)
  • Proven experience working with Copper and Mapress systems
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of site safety requirements
  • Reliable, punctual, and a good communicator

PPE Requirements

  • Standard PPE including Hi-Vis clothing, safety boots, hard hat, gloves, and eye protection

Location Note
