We are looking for experienced agency plumbers to work on a new build care home project, carrying out 1st fix, 2nd fix, and plant room plumbing works. The role is hands-on and requires plumbers who can work independently from drawings and to programme deadlines.
Scope of Works
- 1st Fix Duties
- Installation of hot and cold water services (copper, MLCP, or plastic systems)
- Installation of soil, waste, and vent pipework
- Running pipework in floors, walls, and risers
- Fitting brackets, clips, valves, and fire-stopping where required
- Pressure testing of installed systems
- Working to coordinated M&E drawings
- 2nd Fix Duties
- Installation and connection of sanitary ware: WC pans and cisterns, basins and taps, showers and shower valves, sinks and sluice units
- Installation of TMVs (TMV2 / TMV3 where specified)
- Final connections to hot, cold, and waste services
- Snagging and quality checks prior to handover
- Plant Room Works
- Installation of plant room pipework (small and large bore)
- Connecting calorifiers, buffer vessels, pumps, and pressurisation units
- Fitting valves, strainers, non-returns, and ancillaries
- Assisting with flushing, testing, and commissioning
- Working from plant room schematics and GA drawings
Proven experience on commercial or care home new build projects. Ability to work from drawings and specifications. Experience with plant rooms desirable. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent). Valid Blue JIB card. Own tools and PPE. Good timekeeping and site attitude.
Working Hours & Duration
Typical site hours: 07:30 - 16:30 (may vary). Long-term work available for reliable plumbers.
