The Plumber / Pipefitter will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of small-bore pipework and semiconductor tool installation systems on a 9-month project based in Leixlip, Ireland. The role requires precision, strict adherence to safety standards, and compliance with cleanroom and high-tech manufacturing protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Install small bore pipework systems (stainless steel, orbital welded, compression fittings, etc.)
- Install and connect process pipework to semiconductor manufacturing tools
- Work on high-purity gas lines, DI water, chemical lines, and associated utility systems
- Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and technical specifications
- Perform or assist with orbital welding (where applicable)
- Carry out pressure testing, leak testing, and commissioning of installed systems
- Ensure installations meet strict cleanliness and contamination control standards
- Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to coordinate works
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and testing records
- Work to project timelines within a live or controlled manufacturing environment
Requirements / Skills
- Valid CSR Card required
- Relevant trade qualification (Plumbing, Pipefitting, Mechanical Fitting, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data centre, or high-purity environments preferred
- Strong experience with small bore tubing systems and high-spec installations
- Ability to read technical drawings
- High level of attention to detail
