Robert Hurst are currently seeking an experienced Gas, Plumbing and Heating Mechanical Engineer to join our client's established building services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a professional and growing company that delivers high-quality mechanical and plumbing services across residential, commercial, industrial, and MoD projects throughout the UK.
You will play a key role in installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of gas, plumbing, and heating systems, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain gas, plumbing, and heating systems and components.
- Work with drawings and specifications to determine layouts and materials.
- Install and maintain valves, pumps, booster sets, pressurisation systems, and pipework.
- Carry out maintenance and testing on gas-fired water heaters, heating fixtures, and associated equipment.
- Oversee and support junior team members, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and ensure compliance with current regulations and codes of practice.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, engineers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements:
- Gas Safe Registration - essential
- Commercial Gas Ticket - essential
- Proven experience in a similar Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing & Heating role
- Strong understanding of current industry standards and regulations
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel nationwide as required
