Job Description:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team on an exciting new build school project located in West London (W8 5BN). This is a temporary contract role offering 2 months of consistent work, with the potential for further opportunities for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrician who is looking for well-paid, local work on a prestigious new build education project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and test electrical systems on a new build school site.
- First fix and second fix electrical works including lighting, power distribution, sockets, switches, and containment.
- Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations and health & safety procedures.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Work collaboratively with site teams and contractors to meet project deadlines.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and carry out necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a safe, clean condition.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
- JIB Gold Card (essential).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Proven experience on commercial or new build construction projects, ideally in the education sector.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Own tools and PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
