About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and qualified HVAC Estimator to join our client's team in Dartford. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning projects. This role analyses project plans, specifications, and technical requirements to determine labour, material, and equipment needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed HVAC estimates.
- Calculate material quantities, labour hours, equipment costs, and subcontractor pricing.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals within deadlines.
- Identify value-engineering opportunities to improve cost effectiveness.
- Collaborate with project management and engineering teams during pre-construction.
- Maintain cost databases, pricing sheets, and historical project records.
- Assist in project handoff meetings and provide clarifications as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience in HVAC estimating or related mechanical estimating.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- NVQ or equivalent.
- Valid CSCS.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
