We are seeking an experienced Installation & Service Engineer (Lead Fitter) to take a leading role in the installation, commissioning support, and testing of LEV systems across the UK.
This is a hands‑on role for a competent professional who is confident leading installations on site and ensuring systems perform safely and effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Taking the lead on-site for LEV system installations
- Installing ductwork, hoods, fans, filters, and associated equipment
- Carrying out LEV testing and examinations in between installation work
- Supporting fault‑finding, servicing, and remedial works
- Working closely with sales and manufacturing teams to ensure installations meet design intent
- Assisting with manufacture and fabrication of LEV systems at WDCC's Brill facility when required
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely, professionally, and in line with COSHH and HSE guidance
- Completing job documentation and test records accurately
Essential experience & qualifications
- P601 qualification - essential
- Proven experience installing and servicing LEV / dust extraction systems
- Ability to lead installation works on customer sites
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and COSHH requirements
- Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UK and stay away overnight as required
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in sheet metal manufacturing or fabrication
- Welding, ductwork fabrication, or workshop‑based manufacturing skills
- Background in woodworking, manufacturing, or industrial environments
