Our client, a growing and dynamic business, is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Financial Accountant / Finance Manager to support the finance function during a busy period of change and growth. This role will suit a hands-on finance professional with strong technical accounting and group reporting experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
- Prepare group consolidations and support the production of board packs and statutory accounts
- Manage intercompany accounting and support the integration of overseas entities
- Oversee payroll accounting and reconciliations across UK and international operations
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, liaising with external advisors on EU VAT matters where required
- Support the year-end audit process and act as a key point of contact for external auditors
- Assist with acquisition accounting, including purchase price allocations, opening balance sheets, and integration into group reporting
- Manage and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
- Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, controls, and automation
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare technical accounting memos as needed
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong experience in month-end close, group reporting, and statutory accounting
- Previous exposure to multi-entity and international environments
- Confident working in interim roles and able to add value quickly
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive and hands-on approach
