Contract: 3-4 months (potential temp-to-perm)

Rate: £350-£400 per day (via Umbrella)

Our client, a growing and dynamic business, is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Financial Accountant / Finance Manager to support the finance function during a busy period of change and growth. This role will suit a hands-on finance professional with strong technical accounting and group reporting experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close process, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
  • Prepare group consolidations and support the production of board packs and statutory accounts
  • Manage intercompany accounting and support the integration of overseas entities
  • Oversee payroll accounting and reconciliations across UK and international operations
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, liaising with external advisors on EU VAT matters where required
  • Support the year-end audit process and act as a key point of contact for external auditors
  • Assist with acquisition accounting, including purchase price allocations, opening balance sheets, and integration into group reporting
  • Manage and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, controls, and automation
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare technical accounting memos as needed

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in month-end close, group reporting, and statutory accounting
  • Previous exposure to multi-entity and international environments
  • Confident working in interim roles and able to add value quickly
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive and hands-on approach
