Contract role - Financial Accountant role until December 2026. £60K Hybrid - 2 days onsite and 3 at home as a minimum requirement.

Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting, ensuring all local and group reporting deadlines are met.
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and cash flow reports.
- Liaise with group accounting teams, addressing queries and ensuring accurate accounting treatment of non-recurring transactions.
- Coordinate, prepare, and submit quarterly VAT returns and associated VAT reporting for the VAT group.
- Coordinate and provide information to internal and external auditors during quarterly, interim, and year-end audits, including active support in statutory accounts preparation.
- Proactively manage relationships with external funding partners, ensuring timely and accurate provision of financial information.
- Actively support the implementation of a new ERP system, including testing and validation activities related to accounting processes.
- Oversee and support accounts payable, accounts receivable, contract management, and related administrative activities.
- Perform regular administrative tasks including customer invoicing and system updates.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience / Qualifications Required
- ACCA or ACA or CIMA finalist (not by exemptions) or newly qualified.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an accounting function.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
- Proven experience in fixed asset accounting - lease accounting (IFRS 16) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication - ability to breakdown finance information in layman’s terms to non-finance, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
