Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with an established organisation based in Thame to recruit an Accountant. The Accountant will receive a salary up to £50,000 along with attractive benefits including hybrid remote working. This is a varied role and would best suit an Accountant with rounded experience. Qualified by experience or part qualified applicants will be considered for this role.
Primary responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate month end balance sheet reporting for Direct and Indirect channel including intercompany and cash balances reconciliation within agreed deadlines.
- Monthly Direct Channel income statement actual and forecasts submissions to group within agreed deadlines, with supporting analysis and commentary required for monthly reviews with group function.
- Business Partnering with the Direct Channel to support business strategy and growth.
- Budget preparation and submission for Direct Channel.
- Support with internal and external audits management, by promptly providing required evidence and explanations, and proactively addressing any challenges or discrepancies that may arise.
- Preparation and submission of monthly balance sheet reconciliation for review and approval by the Financial Director, ensuring accuracy and completeness (Stock, Accruals, Prepayments).
- Create and maintain user friendly reports, to support monthly analysis of revenue and expenses, including variances and trends.
- Finance expert for data modelling and dashboard creation, working closely with Finance Director and Finance Manager ensuring all reporting/analytical requirements are satisfied.
- In depth analysis of historical data, with a view to providing clear recommendations for the future.
Key experience and attributes:
- Min 5 years of experience in accounting functions.
- Advanced Excel.
- Power BI and experience in building dashboards.
- Excellent communication skills (ability to explain complex rules/processes in a simple manner, ability to communicate on all levels of hierarchy).
- Proactive, with a 'can do' attitude and drive for change.
- Previous experience in process mapping and change management.
