Tax Manager – £65,000 – £80,000 DOE – Hybrid (Farringdon) High-Growth Tech Business
Robert Half is partnering with a leading PE-backed SaaS company headquartered in Central London to hire a newly created Tax Manager role. With strong year-on-year growth and global expansion into 7 countries, this business is now investing in building out its in-house tax capability. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious and commercially savvy tax professional to shape a group tax function from the ground up.
The Role
You\’ll report into the Financial Controller and work alongside a brilliant finance team. This is a broad and strategic tax role with international reach and a clear pathway to Head of Tax.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review UK and international tax returns
- Handle tax authority correspondence and manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors
- Lead group tax reconciliations and resolve tax-related accounting queries
- Monitor changes in legislation and mitigate associated risks
- Complete complex tax calculations and oversee deferred tax accounting
- Support Companies House filing requirements
- Act as subject matter expert for transfer pricing, including policy development and documentation
- Contribute to R&D relief claims and identify tax planning opportunities
- Integrate tax considerations into business and project decisions
- Drive improvements across tax processes, documentation, and controls
- Manage online banking platforms, account openings, and credit card portals
- Oversee intercompany loans and draft associated legal agreements
- Review group cash position and support treasury-related tasks
Experience required:
We\’re seeking a strong UK tax professional with international exposure who is ready to step into a managerial role with real impact. You\’ll need to be curious, driven, and comfortable dealing with complexity.
Must-Haves:
- Qualified (ACA/CTA/ACCA or equivalent) – ideally 2+yrs PQE
- Experience in UK tax and international tax compliance
- Hands-on exposure to transfer pricing
- Strong communicator who is proactive, commercially minded, and eager to grow
Ideal Background:
- Trained in Big 4 top 10 practice
- Already at Manager level
- Prior in-house tax experience is a plus
