Management Accountant in Sunbury-on-Thames

This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, ambitious Management Accountant who is early in their career and keen to continue their professional studies within a supportive, commercially focused finance team.

The opportunity

Reporting into an experienced UK Financial Controller, you\’ll play a key role in delivering accurate management information and commercial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making. The role offers genuine exposure to the end-to-end finance function within a complex, product-driven environment.

You\’ll be encouraged to ask questions, challenge processes, and develop commercially, with clear progression and study support available for the right individual.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts

• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

• Costing, inventory and product profitability analysis

• Balance sheet reviews and month-end close activities

• Supporting audits and statutory reporting

• Involvement in VAT returns and cashflow reporting

• Working closely with non-finance stakeholders to drive better decision-making

About you

• Part-qualified (or actively studying) ACA / ACCA / CIMA

• AAT qualified or degree-educated in a relevant discipline

• Some exposure to management accounts and strong fundamentals across P&L and balance sheet

• Proactive, curious and keen to learn in a hands-on environment

• Comfortable working in the office the majority of the week
