An established and growing automotive business is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to take ownership of the finance function within a standalone environment.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a hands-on role responsible for month-end processes, financial reporting, and maintaining strong financial controls across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of month-end and management accounts
- Preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
- General ledger reconciliations and journal postings
- Oversight of AP and AR processes
- VAT returns and HMRC compliance
- Liaising with outsourced payroll and external accountants
- Supporting year-end audit and statutory accounts
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within an SME or standalone finance role
- Strong Excel and accounting systems knowledge
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/Navision advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- AAT qualified or studying towards an accounting qualification desirable
