Audio Visual Designer - London (on-site) - Permanent

Are you an experienced Designer with a background in AV, IT, or smart technology solutions?

We're looking for a Senior Designer to join a growing technology team, playing a key role in delivering innovative workplace technology projects across commercial environments.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Designer, you'll lead the design and documentation phase of integrated technology solutions, turning concepts into detailed technical designs that can be successfully delivered on-site.

You'll work closely with technical sales, project delivery, M&E teams, and installation teams to ensure projects are coordinated, buildable, and delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce technical drawings, M&E plans, system schematics, and equipment rack layouts.
  • Develop detailed network schedules and coordinate IT infrastructure requirements.
  • Carry out acoustic analysis and speaker heat mapping to optimise system performance.
  • Coordinate technical requirements with suppliers and project teams.
  • Collaborate with fit-out, architectural, and technical design teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Manage technical design changes and project variations throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Identify and resolve potential site, structural, and M&E clashes before installation.
  • Maintain design standards and ensure compliance with industry best practices.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in AV, IT, or smart technology design.
  • Strong Auto CAD skills, including technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience using acoustic modelling and speaker heat mapping tools (such as EASE, Soundvision, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of M&E requirements including power, data, cooling, and containment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify integration challenges early.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
